Natknąłem się dziś na takie stwierdzenie:
Cytat:I used an SWR SM400 for a couple years right when they came out.Ktoś z Was próbował obciąć pasmo od dołu i pomagało?
While the build quality was great, and the tone was actually quite full, clear, crisp, deep and beautiful for its time, I thought this head had a serious design problem that contributed to the impression that 'SWR heads are underpowered'.
I found that this head put out a tremendous amount of 'sub bass'. I think I remember in the literature that they spec'd this head's frequency response 10hz to 20Khz. That's the way it sounded to me... huge subsonic low end that resulted in way too much 'speaker pistoning' and a lot of power eaten up trying to reproduce those ultra lows that pretty much disappeared in a mix.
I actually ended up using a hi pass filter (at the time, a RANE parametric that had an option to use the lowest band as a hi pass filter). When I eliminated all frequencies below 30 hz or so, the amp ended up sounding much louder and 'better'.
